As one navigates the overlapping symptoms and distinctive traits of conditions like autism and ADHD, the necessity for deepened understanding becomes clear.
This 1.5 hour webinar provides an overview of observational differences between the two and examples of the different 'flavours' of each profile across different developmental domains, such as communication, sensory, emotional and executive functioning.
Through a blend of expert insights and real-life case studies, students will develop the keen ability to discern the complexities inherent in each, enhancing their diagnostic acumen and therapeutic approaches.

Sandhya Menon (she/her) is an Autistic/ADHDer Developmental Psychologist and Author of The Brain Forest, The Rainbow Brain and My Body's Power Pack. The Rainbow Brain is the first children's book that discusses the nuances of being both an Autistic and an ADHDer.
Clinically, she has supported a range of autistic children with different support needs, working across hospitals, early intervention teams, schools, in home therapies, with wards of the state, and is currently in private practice, running Onwards and Upwards Psychology in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
Sandhya is an experienced speaker on neurodiversity affirming practice, speaking at schools, organisations, clinics and has been called upon in both national and international conferences. She is passionate about fuelling a social justice-driven systemic change with the take up of neurodiversity affirming practice.
More so? She does this with a mix of evidence-based practice, ethics and her signature humour and way of making complex information simple through visual representation.
What you'll see in this workshop is the coming together of evidence-based practice, with a marriage of her clinical experience, lived experience as well as appreciation for a Good Journal article.
